アーティスト／RICCA 主宰
セミアブストラクトの水彩表現を軸に、花、風景、記憶といった「かたちにならない感情」を主題とした作品制作を行う。主宰する RICCA では、花束や旅の体験を起点に、その人だけの記憶を絵として残すアートプロダクトを展開。
宿泊施設やリトリート施設と連携し、 旅の余韻を日常へと持ち帰るためのアート体験を継続的に制作している。
作品は具象と抽象のあわいにあり、モチーフを明確に描き切るのではなく、見る人の記憶や感情が自然に重なっていく余白を大切にしている。
近年は日本国内にとどまらず、ヨーロッパを中心としたアンビエント／クラシカル音楽シーンにおいて、
アルバム・シングルのアートワークを複数担当。静謐で時間性を感じさせる作風は、音楽と強く共鳴するビジュアルとして評価されている。
装飾的な美しさではなく、体験や時間の奥行きを可視化すること。
「所有するアート」であると同時に、
「その人の人生に静かに寄り添う存在」であることを目指している。
Yuto Owaki
Artist / Founder of RICCA
Yuto Owaki is an artist working primarily with semi-abstract watercolor, exploring intangible emotions such as memory, landscape, flowers, and lived experience. Through RICCA, the art brand he founded, he creates art products that transform personal moments—bouquets, journeys, and fleeting experiences—into paintings that quietly preserve individual memories.
Collaborating with hotels and retreat destinations, Owaki continuously develops art experiences that allow guests to carry the afterglow of their travels back into everyday life. His works exist in the delicate space between figuration and abstraction, intentionally avoiding fixed narratives so that each viewer’s own memories and emotions can naturally overlap with the image.
In recent years, his practice has expanded beyond Japan into the European ambient and classical music scene, where he has created artwork for multiple album and single releases. His quiet, time-sensitive visual language has been recognized for its strong resonance with music, offering imagery that feels contemplative, restrained, and deeply atmospheric.
Rather than pursuing decorative beauty, Owaki seeks to visualize the depth of experience and the passage of time. His works—and those of RICCA—aim to be not only art to be owned, but gentle presences that accompany a person’s life with subtle intimacy.
